This is a set of 6 antique Minton England Dinner plates (10 3/4 diameter). Minton China had a cypher in order to determine which year the dinnerware was made. Based on the triangle cypher in the back, the plates were made in 1843.
Minton was independent from 1793 to 1968. It was acquired by Royal Doulton and then finally by Waterford Wedgwood in 2005. The pattern itself is gorgeous. The flowers and pattern were hand painted. The plates are in fantastic vintage condition, with minimal wear to the paint around the rim and the pattern itself. Even so, as an item that is approximately 179 years old, wear from its age and usage is normal and expected. This is truly an excellent piece for any collector of vintage dinnerware, or even as a gift to someone who would love them.
